broken
3. The appliance

4. Getting pain or an
ulcer
It is normal to
experience some pain as a result of tooth movement. If
you continue to wear the appliance the pain should go
away within about a week- a painkiller will help.
If it continues for longer- call for an appointment. If
you discontinue wearing the appliance the pain will go
away. However, the teeth will not straighten and the
appliance may not fit later. If you experience an
irritation place wax or soft sugar-free gum on the part
of the appliance that is causing the rubbing. Call
for an appointment and let us have a look!
